Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state operations including garnishments, bonuses, and commissions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, FICA, state unemployment)
- Oversee payroll tax filings and year-end reconciliation (W-2s, 1099s, 941s)
- Collaborate with HR on benefits administration, PTO accruals, and 401(k) contributions
- Implement process improvements using ADP Workforce Now and SAP systems
- Lead payroll audits and resolve discrepancies with vendors/employees
- Generate payroll reports for executive leadership and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- Advanced certification through APA (CPP or FPC) preferred
- Expert proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or comparable HCM platforms
- Deep knowledge of FLSA, garnishment laws, and state-specific payroll requirements
- Proven experience with payroll audits and compliance documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-volume environments
- Experience managing payroll for 500+ employees
