Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for over 500 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, FICA).
- Process payroll taxes, garnishments, and deductions accurately and on time.
- Conduct monthly payroll audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and direct deposits.
- Collaborate with HR to update employee compensation data and benefits enrollment.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare year-end reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive payroll experience in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Ceridian, Paylocity, or Workday).
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws, specifically in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and payroll systems.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
