Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 200+ employees bi-weekly using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations including FLSA, ERISA, and Oregon BOLI requirements
- Manage year-end reporting including W-2s, 1099s, and ACA filings
- Implement and audit payroll controls to prevent discrepancies and fraud
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments on garnishments, bonuses, and benefits deductions
- Develop payroll reports for executive leadership and external audits
- Train and mentor junior payroll staff on system updates and compliance changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- Expertise in ADP Workforce Now or comparable enterprise payroll systems
- Current certification through APA or NAPPA preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Oregon payroll regulations and tax filing requirements
- Proven ability to manage confidential employee data with discretion
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for payroll discrepancies and audits
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with HRIS integrations
