In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strict adherence to federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll processing for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for weekly and bi-weekly cycles.
- Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, including FLSA, CA payroll tax regulations, and unemployment insurance.
- Process and audit complex payroll deductions, garnishments, and tax filings with 100% accuracy.
- Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts, including payroll taxes, benefits, and accruals, on a monthly basis.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies and providing exceptional service.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employee records and ensure data integrity within our HRIS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- 3-5+ years of progressive payroll experience, preferably within a mid-sized to large corporation.
- Expert proficiency in payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now or Paylocity.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups) for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
