Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll including garnishments, bonuses, and commissions using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (IRS, EDD, etc.)
- Manage time and attendance systems, resolving discrepancies with HR and department heads
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns, W-2s, and year-end reports
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies with bank statements
- Support payroll audits and maintain confidential employee records
- Implement process improvements using Excel macros and Power BI dashboards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent proficiency
- Expert knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and state-specific labor laws
- Advanced Excel skills with VBA experience for automation
- Proven ability to handle sensitive data with absolute discretion
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with garnishment processing and union contracts
- Detail-oriented with 99.9% accuracy in payroll calculations
