Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for portfolio of 15+ startup clients
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and cash flow management
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online systems for efficiency
- Conduct tax compliance reviews and support audit preparations
- Develop financial models and forecasting reports for leadership decisions
- Mentor junior accounting staff during peak periods
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of public/private accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- SF Bay Area accounting license (active)
- Experience with SaaS or fintech industry accounting
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Available for 25-30 hours/week with flexible scheduling
