Responsibilities
- Oversee the night shift accounting cycle, ensuring all journal entries and transactions are recorded accurately.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a nightly basis.
- Process accounts payable invoices and verify receipt of goods to ensure timely payments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Maintain strict compliance with GAAP and internal company policies.
- Perform month-end close tasks, including accruals and adjusting entries.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless handovers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working the night shift is a strong plus.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
