The Role:
As a Financial Analyst at Apex, you will play a pivotal role in our financial planning and analysis process. You will be responsible for building complex models, performing variance analysis, and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership. This is not just a number-crunching role; it is a strategic position that influences the direction of the company.
Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth variance analysis between actuals and budgets, identifying trends, variances, and root causes.
- Reporting: Create executive-level presentations and dashboards (using Tableau or PowerBI) to communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the finance department.
- Scenario Planning: Build scenarios to assess the financial impact of potential business decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting adheres to internal policies and external regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA, PivotTables) and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Tools: Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
