About the Role:
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting business growth. We are looking for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are recorded correctly and reconciled daily.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations and reporting workflows.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is organized, complete, and accessible.
- Payroll & Accounts Payable: Review payroll data for accuracy and manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely vendor payments.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior staff members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or finance.
- Licensure: CPA certification or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required for data analysis).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Location Flexibility: Willingness to travel to client sites in Florida and Illinois as needed.
