Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Manage general ledger accounting functions, including reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Oversee the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed reporting to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA/MAcc) preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
