Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure accurate financial data in ERP systems
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
- Lead internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants and process improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing remote teams and virtual collaboration tools
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental financial reporting
