This role is critical for ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing financial performance, and supporting strategic initiatives across our Atlanta headquarters and North Carolina satellite offices.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with executive-level insights
- Lead internal audits and ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Implement process improvements using financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Oversee tax compliance filings and regulatory reporting requirements
- Mentor junior accountants and conduct financial training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and ERP platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance (NC/GA focus)
