Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Manage tax compliance documentation and support audit preparation activities
- Implement process improvements using financial software solutions (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Mentor junior accountants on technical accounting standards and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial close cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and client interactions
