Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Support the budgeting process by analyzing variances and providing actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and federal and state tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
