Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee GAAP compliance and ensure audit-readiness for internal and external reviews
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and systems
- Lead tax preparation activities and coordinate with external tax advisors
- Mentor junior accounting staff and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expertise in GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Texas CPA license required or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with financial modeling and variance analysis
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to mentor accounting teams
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
