Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage general ledger operations and account reconciliations for 100+ accounts
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for department heads
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and QuickBooks
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and financial reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
