Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and account analysis
- Collaborate with audit teams to ensure smooth external audit processes
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial reporting systems
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for executive leadership
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/corporate setting
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Sage 100, NetSuite)
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
