Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Lead audits and ensure regulatory adherence for federal contracts
- Develop financial models for budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Maintain robust internal controls and documentation systems
- Collaborate with cross-department teams on financial strategy
- Mentor junior accountants and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years public/private accounting experience
- Expertise in federal contract accounting and FAR regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Active DC CPA license required
