Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead internal and external audit coordination with third-party firms
- Develop and maintain robust financial reporting systems and controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
- Maintain compliance with federal tax regulations and SEC filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA skills
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit preparation
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
