Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to evaluate commercial loan applications
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos documenting risk assessments and recommendationsMonitor existing loan portfolios for early risk detection and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay current on banking regulations (FDIC, OCC, and Federal Reserve guidelines)
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure industries
- Mentor junior analysts on credit analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling)
- CFP, CFA, or CRCM certification strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with credit scoring models (FICO, Altman Z-score)
- Strong understanding of SEC filings and GAAP/IFRS standards
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
