Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessment reports with actionable recommendations
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay current on regulatory compliance (FDIC, OCC, and state banking regulations)
- Present complex financial analyses to credit committees and senior leadership
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (DCF, LBO, ratio analysis)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) or equivalent risk management credentials
- Expert knowledge of financial statement analysis and cash flow projections
- Strong experience with credit origination systems (e.g., Moody's RiskCal, FICO)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex industry-specific risk factors
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
