Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis on loan applications and trade credit requests, including financial statement review and ratio analysis.
- Monitor and report on the credit status of existing portfolio clients, identifying early warning signs of financial distress.
- Develop and maintain credit policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed credit memorandums and presentations for the Credit Committee and executive leadership.
- Collaborate with sales and relationship management teams to provide credit solutions that support business growth while mitigating risk.
- Utilize financial software and databases to track payment histories and calculate risk scores.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or risk assessment within a financial institution or corporate setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and financial modeling) and credit scoring software.
- Deep understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and key financial ratios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
