Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flows, and collateral to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for commercial and industrial loans
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of credit deterioration
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal lending solutions
- Stay current on industry regulations and economic trends affecting credit risk
- Lead credit committee presentations and defend analytical conclusions
- Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with bank policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Expertise in financial statement analysis and ratio interpretation
- Proficiency with credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of commercial lending regulations (FIRREA, BSA)
- Credit Risk Management certification (CRCM) highly desirable
