Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments by analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and collateral to determine borrower creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models to evaluate loan applications and identify trends in credit quality.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and reports for the Credit Committee, summarizing findings and recommending approval or denial.
- Monitor and update customer credit profiles regularly to reflect changes in financial health or market conditions.
- Collaborate with the lending team to structure transactions that align with our risk appetite and profitability goals.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal lending policies throughout the analysis process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or financial risk management.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and credit analysis software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and synthesize it into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as CCAR, CFA, or CAMS are a plus.
