Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports with risk ratings and lending recommendations
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for early warning signs of financial distress
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure complex credit facilities
- Ensure compliance with federal lending regulations and internal policies
- Present credit analysis findings to credit committees and senior leadership
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial ratio analysis, and risk assessment frameworks
- Experience with credit underwriting software (e.g., Moody's RiskCal, FICO)
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Credit Risk Management Professional (CRMP) certification preferred
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
