Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis of commercial borrowers using financial statements, tax returns, and industry data
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure loan terms that balance risk and opportunity
- Ensure compliance with federal banking regulations and internal credit policies
- Stay current on economic trends affecting regional credit markets
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 4+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit analysis software
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis and collateral valuation
- Excellent written communication skills for credit memos and reports
- Series 7 and/or Series 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven ability to manage complex loan structures and credit risk mitigation strategies
