Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to evaluate borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessment reports for senior leadership review
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal credit policies
- Lead training initiatives for junior analysts on credit analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Strong understanding of SEC filings, GAAP, and credit risk frameworks
- Experience with credit scoring models and industry-specific risk factors
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Professional certification (CRCM, CFA, or FRM) highly desirable
