What You'll Achieve:
- Analyze complex financial statements and cash flow projections to assess borrower viability
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan committees
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Responsibilities
- Evaluate commercial and industrial loan applications using financial modeling techniques
- Conduct industry and market research to inform credit decisions
- Prepare comprehensive credit analysis reports with actionable recommendations
- Monitor existing portfolio for covenant compliance and early warning signs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure complex transactions
- Present findings clearly to credit committees and senior leadership
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting credit practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (Excel, Bloomberg)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and credit risk frameworks
- Experience with credit underwriting software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, Fiserv)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) preferred
