Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial loan applications and financial statements to determine creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessment reports for loan committees
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance and early risk identification
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal loan solutions
- Stay current on banking regulations (FDIC, OCC) and industry trends
- Present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Support annual portfolio reviews and regulatory examinations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Expertise in financial modeling and cash flow analysis
- Proficiency with credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, RiskCalc)
- Strong understanding of SBA lending programs
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB preferred)
- Exceptional Excel and data visualization skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a regulated environment
