Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Credit Analysis: Perform detailed underwriting evaluations of commercial and personal loan applications to determine creditworthiness and risk exposure.
- Financial Modeling: Develop complex financial models and forecasts to support lending decisions and assess the long-term viability of borrowers.
- Risk Monitoring: Continuously monitor portfolio performance and proactively identify emerging credit risks or deteriorating borrower financial health.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive credit reports, analytical memos, and presentations to senior leadership and loan committees.
- Compliance: Ensure all credit analysis activities adhere to regulatory standards and internal lending policies.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with relationship managers and loan officers to structure deals and optimize credit terms.
- Market Research: Analyze industry trends and economic indicators to provide contextual insights for credit decisions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of proven experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial lending.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and financial modeling software (e.g., Moody’s Analytics, FICO).
- Analytical Acumen: Strong understanding of credit metrics, financial ratios, and industry analysis.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Certifications: Certification such as CPA, CFA, or CAM (Certified Analyst in Commercial Lending) is highly desirable.
