Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit reports and risk assessments with actionable recommendations
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for compliance and early risk identification
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements (FDIC, OCC)
- Lead presentations of complex credit analyses to senior leadership committees
- Contribute process improvements to enhance credit decision efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit scoring tools
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statement analysis, and risk metrics
- Excellent written/verbal communication with ability to articulate complex concepts
- Experience with commercial lending portfolios over $50M
- Proven track record of reducing portfolio defaults by 15%+
- Professional certification (CRCM, CFA) strongly preferred
