Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial loan applications and financial statements to determine credit risk exposure
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for executive review committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential default
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure optimal financing solutions for clients
- Stay current on industry regulations and economic trends affecting credit markets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and credit bureaus
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Expert proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, RiskCalc)
- Advanced Excel skills with complex formula and pivot table capabilities
- Strong understanding of GAAP and commercial lending regulations
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMBL) or willingness to obtain
