Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and collateral to evaluate borrower risk.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and underwriting guidelines.
- Monitor existing accounts to identify early warning signs of financial distress.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for the credit committee.
- Collaborate with the loan origination team to structure complex transactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis or commercial lending.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of risk assessment frameworks and regulatory compliance (e.g., Basel, Dodd-Frank).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
