Responsibilities
- Analyze creditworthiness of corporate clients using financial statements, market trends, and risk assessment models
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk mitigation strategies for executive review
- Monitor existing portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure complex financing solutions
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FIRREA, Basel III) and implement compliance protocols
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Present findings to credit committee with data-driven recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Expertise in financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling
- Proficiency in credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, Fiserv)
- Strong understanding of secured/unsecured lending structures
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly
- Experience with high-value transactions ($1M+)
