Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance program tailored to the organization's specific industry and regulatory environment.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor changes in federal, state, and local laws, as well as industry regulations, and ensure timely adaptation of policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and legal requirements to foster a culture of integrity.
  • Prepare and present detailed compliance reports to the Board of Directors and executive management on a quarterly basis.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing within the financial services sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEC regulations, FINRA rules, and other applicable compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulatory texts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train diverse audiences effectively.
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar certification is highly preferred.
