Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client accounts including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis with actionable insights
- Oversee QuickBooks implementation and optimization for new client onboarding
- Coordinate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls to prevent discrepancies
- Lead month-end closing processes with 100% accuracy within 48-hour deadlines
- Mentor junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Excel (including VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines with zero material errors
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and IRS tax compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail down to the penny
- Strong communication abilities for client-facing financial presentations
- Experience with automated accounting systems (e.g., Xero, FreshBooks)
