Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all entries are timely and error-free.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements, for management review.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly payroll, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations and internal company policies.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) to streamline financial workflows and data entry.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; High school diploma with equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours with a commitment to weekly pay cycles.
