Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations for California-based clients
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks accounting workflows
- Lead month-end closing procedures with zero-tolerance for errors
- Collaborate with CFO on strategic financial planning initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP and PivotTable expertise
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a plus
- Proven track record in managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with 100% accuracy in reconciliations
- Strong communication abilities for client-facing financial reporting
