Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles
- Prepare financial statements and quarterly reports for clients
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for real-time financial tracking
- Collaborate with CPAs during tax season documentation
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proven ability to manage multi-client portfolios
- Familiarity with GAAP and NY state tax regulations
- Strong attention to detail with error rate <0.5%
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation a plus
