Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles
- Generate financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) for stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks/Xero)
- Coordinate with auditors during financial reviews
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required (Bachelor's preferred)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail with error-spotting abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
