Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers using QuickBooks Online
- Process accounts payable/receivable and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for client review
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings for 15+ employees
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with CPA firm during audit processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environments
