Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Assist with monthly and annual payroll processing and tax preparation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support the month-end close process.
- Train junior staff and collaborate with external auditors when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
