Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations to ensure balances match.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile credit card statements and monitor expenses to ensure compliance with company budgets.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (1099s, W-2s, etc.) under the guidance of the CFO.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to manage financial data and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proven experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies in financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
