Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure balances match and identify discrepancies immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and income statements for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and maintaining payroll records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant with all financial reporting standards.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to track financial data and generate reports.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and clients to resolve billing inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
