Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Assist with monthly and annual payroll processing using QuickBooks or similar software.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal departments regarding billing inquiries.
- Assist with annual tax preparation and audits as required.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
