Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure accurate billing cycles while maintaining healthy vendor and client relationships.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly and weekly bank reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure cash flow accuracy.
- Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processing for our team, ensuring tax filings and compliance with Washington state labor laws.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports, for client review.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize advanced features of Xero or QuickBooks to streamline financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a full-charge bookkeeping role.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Sage Intacct.
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software integrations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to data integrity.
- Certification: Bookkeeping certification (NACPB, AIPB) or CPA license is a plus.
