Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and perform monthly depreciation calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and support for external audits.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to produce monthly profit and loss statements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage 50.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) is required.
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and general ledger accounting.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
