Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure tax filings are accurate and timely.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track expenses and revenues.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and assist with annual audits and tax returns.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Certified Bookkeeper (CPA) or equivalent certification is a plus.
