Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close procedures, including bank reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid and collections are managed efficiently.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve financial discrepancies and provide financial insights.
- Oversee the training and supervision of junior accounting staff if applicable.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero is required; Excel advanced skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
