Role Overview:
As our Senior Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations. You will manage daily accounting tasks, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and provide strategic insights to our clients. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in precision and has a deep understanding of US accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are up to date.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for various clients.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or CPA preferred.
